Deloris Monroe

January 1, 1927 — February 6, 2020

Deloris W. Monroe was born January 1, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri.  She departed this life on February 6, 2020 at the Rawlins Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Rawlins, Wyoming.

She spent most of her life in her beloved home town of St. Louis.  She was a successful businesswoman until her retirement in 1995.

She was an active member of three different Baptist Churches including Victory Baptist Church in Rawlins, Wyoming.

Deloris is survived by her son Pastor Steve Monroe (Sharon) in Rawlins.  Four grandchildren Stephenie Amerson (Micah) of Alachua, Florida; Sallie Newsome (Chris) of Rawlins; Stephen Monroe (Kimberly) of Gypsum, Colorado; and Seth Monroe (Jessica) of Thomaston, Georgia.  Seven Great Grandchildren Amelia Amerson of Alachua, Bethany, Bree, and Carson Newsome, Emma and Leah Monroe and Kullen Monroe.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Michelle, her Father and Mother Dewey and Anna Joplin, and her brother Eugene Joplin.

The funeral service will be held in Ellsinore, Missouri at McSpadden Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on February 13, 2020.  She will be buried next to her Mother and Father at the Harmony Cemetery.  A faithful Christian, she rests in the presence of her Savior.
