Delores (Dory) DeVilleneuve, age 79 of Rawlins, Wyoming, passed away November 6, 2021, at Memorial Hospital of Carbon County.
Dory was born in Rawlins on October 2, 1942, to Violet and Doug Hennek. She married Sheldon DeVilleneuve on November 5, 1972, in Elko, Nevada. In the early 70’s, she worked at City Market in the bakery that is where she met her best friend, Eileen Hanson. After leaving she worked at D & K Sanitation and Lawson Sanitation as a bookkeeper moving onto the Carbon County Child Development Center before retiring.
Dory enjoyed camping, riding in her sister’s side by side, watching football and nascar racing on the weekends and she loved the family gatherings. She so adored her grandkids, great-grandkids, and her chihuahua Ginger. She is going to be so missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her four daughters: Sandy (Larry) Weickum, Tammy (Dave) Hejduk, Janell Gilson all of Rawlins and Pam (Russell) Waldner of Saratoga, Wyoming; stepdaughter Elizabeth DeVilleneuve of Casper, Wyoming; eight grandkids, ten great grandkids, two great great grandkids and sibling’s sister Vickie Lawson of Rawlins, Wyoming and Pam Beck of Green Valley, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Deloy, sister-in-law Gayle, a niece and nephew.
A private service will be held at a later date.
