David Starr

David R. Starr passed away December 13, 2015 following a brief battle with a brain disease. David was born January 22, 1956 to Merle V. (Ward) and Ralph W. Starr in Rawlins, Wyoming. He was a graduate of Platte Valley High School with the class of 1974. He was a master of many trades - meat cutter, carpet layer, carpenter, police officer for the Town of Saratoga, security superintendent for Old Baldy Club, and most recently night sales manager at Kum and Go. He was a very active volunteer on the Saratoga Ambulance Service/SWEMS for many years. David enjoyed spending time with family (especially with his grandchildren), friends, and even strangers. David married Kimberly Koessel in 1981 and from this love came two children, Kandice and Daniel. He was a life long member of Platte Valley Lutheran Church. David was preceded in death by his father, Ralph, sisters, Patty and Marilyn, brother, William (Bill), and numerous uncles that he was very close to. He is survived by his mother, Merle, wife, Kim, daughter, Kandice, her children, JJ, Addisen and Christopher, son, Daniel, his wife Kacey, and their children, Bristol and Shane. Services will be held December 19, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Platte Valley Lutheran Church in Saratoga.
