David Clark Forney, 56, passed away March 5, 2017 at the VA Medical Center in Denver. He was born July 2, 1960 in Butte, MT to parents, Betty J. (Thomas) and David R. Forney. David proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. and was honorably discharged as a Sgt. on Mar. 8, 1982. He worked as a self-employed chimney sweep and stone mason with White Knight Enterprises and most recently as a cook at Penny's Diner. David enjoyed reading the Bible, traveling, and lifting weights. He will be remembered for living his life for the Lord. David is survived by his mother, Betty St. Clair of Rawlins; sons, David R. Forney of Clinton, WA and Dean J. Forney of Roosevelt, MN; brothers, Michael D. Thomas of Greensburg, PA and Dennis L. Thomas of Mize, MS; and sister, Terri L. White of St. George, GA. David was preceded in death by his father, David R. Forney. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Sat. Mar. 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rawlins Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers are his sons, David Forney and Dean Forney.
