David "Buffalo Butt" Bezold passed away at his home in Sinclair on August 3rd 2012. He was born on March 5, 1950 in Sheridan, WY. He attended High School and College in Sheridan. While there he met and fell in love with Barbara who he later married on December 24, 1971. After college he went to work for Arch Mineral Corporation. He eventually worked for Arch #1 and Arch #2 and Medicine Bow Coal Mines. He finally retired from the mines after 27 years. They made their home in Sinclair and raised 3 handsome boys. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and arrowhead hunting with his family which lead him to his career later in life. He started Buffalo Butt Trading Company sending him and Barb on the road to all of the Historical Reenactments around the west. Packing his family at all times of the year to live in a tipi, living as a Mountain Man/Indian Family of the 1800's. He was an early member of the Wyoming State Muzzle Loading Association, Sierra Madre Muzzle Loader Rifle Club, Battle Mountain Brigade, and countless other muzzleloader clubs throughout the Rockies. During cold winters took him and Barb south to Quartzsite, AZ where they ran "Texas BBQ" stand. He was preceded in death by his parents Burton and Shirley (May) Bezold and his sister Gwen (Bezold) Marler. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Barbara. His sons Christopher (Carrie) of Sinclair, Stephen (Jodee) of Casper and Michael (Lauren) of Casper. His grandsons Weston & Levi Bezold of Sinclair. Brother in laws Ken Marler of Colorado Springs, CO, Rodney Weber of Rawlins and Robert Weber of Rawlins. Nieces and nephews Angela (Mark) Kammerer, Heather (Gene) Engle all from Colorado Springs, CO, Tina (Clay) Markos of Casper and Nick (Jennifer) Weber of Casper. Great nephew Jake Engle and great nieces Veda Markos and Kaylee Weber. Cremation has taken place, a gathering is planned for Thursday at their Sinclair home, family and friends welcome, followed by Celebration of Life that will be announced at a later time.
