Curtis Lee Moore, age 92 of Sinclair, Wyoming passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022. He was born on March 6, 1929 in Grove, Oklahoma to Vernie Haskell and Lottie (Ray) Moore.
Curtis grew up in Oklahoma and in 1952 joined the United State Army where he proudly served during the Korean Conflict. He was Honorably discharged in 1954 and returned home. On October 9, 1954, he married Polly Ann Goff and together they were married for over 67years. Shortly after getting married, the couple moved to Wichita, Kansas where Curtis went to work for Boeing Aircraft as an overhead crane operator. After moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma and working for another Airline company, Curtis and his family moved to Rawlins, Wyoming in 1960. Curtis worked in Rawlins at the soda ash plant, the Wyoming State Penitentiary as a Lieutenant, retiring in 1981 and as a mechanic and Bus driver for the Carbon County School System, retiring in 1994. Curtis loved spending time in his garage working on various projects and going hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Polly of Sinclair, WY; two daughters, Becky Gunderson and her husband Jack of Sinclair, WY and Laura Robidoux and her husband Tony of Rawlins; five grandchildren, Stacey Hubbard, Angela Robidoux, Bobbie Robidoux, Missy Robidoux and Mike Robidoux; four great-grandchildren, Michael Killian, Veronica Hodgins, Phoenix Robidoux and Talyn Reimer; two great-great grandchildren, Savannah Killian and Iva Rae Hodgins; one brother, Bill Moore of Wichita, Kansas and one sister, Florence Johnson of Toele, Utah. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, brother Paul Moore; sister, Betty Griggs and a grandson, David Beedle.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the First Southern Baptist Church in Rawlins with Pastor Jason Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at the Rawlins Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5-7 PM at Jacoby Funeral Home in Rawlins. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Curtis.
