Cody Nathaniel Scott was born January 28, 2001. He died suddenly on May 12, 2019 at the mere age of 18. Cody is preceded in death by his Nana, Jo Renee Wade; Great-Grandparents Loren and Mary Dejournett, Al and Lorraine Bowman, Darrel Scott, Leo Beerup, Richard and Edna Wade. Cody is survived by his parents, Greg and Suzanne Scott; brother Tyler Scott; Aunts Carla (Matt) Pejakovich, their son Ryan; Kimberly Bishop, her son Zachary; "Uncle" Danny Cain, as well as several step-aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also surviving are his Grandparents Stephen and Beverly Scott and Richard and Betty Wade. Cody's love of sports ran strong no matter what field or court he was on. He loved racquetball, tennis, soccer, rugby, softball, and baseball. As a great Wyomingite, Cody loved to fish and hunt. Cody made it to Life rank as a Boy Scout, dabbled in a bit of theater and choir, and was in band for seven years. If Cody wasn't busy at school or work or playing sports, he could be found serving his friends and anyone who needed anything. He was passionate about all that he did and never met a stranger. After graduation, Cody planned to attend Casper College and study physical education. Cody believed in Christ and is now worshiping and glorifying God in heaven. Cody would understand your grief but would want you to turn to God as your comforter in this time of sorrow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to an account at the Bank of Commerce, P.O. Box 50, Rawlins, WY. All checks should be made out to the Cody Scott Family.
