Carrie Lynn Herold

April 3, 1955 — January 2, 2024

Rawlins, Wyoming

Carrie Lynn Herold, our beloved precious daughter, sister, mother, born April 3, 1955, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 2, 2024.

After graduating high school in 1973, Carrie went to college receiving an associate degree. She worked for State Farm Insurance as an insurance agent for 20 plus years.  In 2022 she retired to pursue her passions of gardening, cooking, photography, and caregiving.  Carrie lived every day of her life abundantly and to the fullest, always ready to lend a helping hand.  Oftentimes she was the first to cook and deliver meals to anyone in need in the community.  After her retirement in 2022 she suffered several health situations, but that did not stop her from pursuing her passions and helping others.

Carrie will be sadly missed by her loving parents, Don and Gertrude Herold of Saratoga; sister Dawna (Rob) Martin of Encampment; sister Marsha (Frank) Perkins of Atlanta, GA; daughter Chandra Schmitt; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Carrie was preceded in death by her two sons Mark and Wayne Blom; maternal grandparents Punch and Evelyn Ellis of Baggs; and paternal grandparents George and Laura Herold.

A Graveside service will be held on January 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Saratoga Cemetery.
