Caroline Fisher

Caroline Fisher, 84, of Rawlins, passed away Dec. 16, 2012. Wake service with recitation of the Rosary will take place on Thurs. Dec. 20, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rawlins. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Fri. Dec. 21, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Sam Hayes as the celebrant. Interment will follow in the Rawlins Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jesse Martinez, Jr., Timmy Martinez, Blake Ecker, Jimmy Taylor, Austin Young, and Ryan Perdue. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gerald Sisneros, Mike Trujillo, Shane Retel, Jerick Martinez, Anthony Retel, and Brahm Trujillo. A reception will follow the committal service at the Eagles Club Hall. Caroline was born Sept. 24, 1928, in Winton, WY to parents Aurelia (Maestas) and Candido Fisher. She grew up in Rock Springs and had resided in Rawlins since Apr. of 1949. She had worked for many years as a housekeeper for private homes and hotels. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and a member of the Eagles Lodge. Survivors include three daughters: Betty Trujillo, Julia Rasmusson, and Pauline (Jesse) Martinez; nine grandchildren: Shane Retel, Michael Trujillo, Michele (companion, Daryl) Fisher, Gerald Sisneros, Shannon (companion, Blake) Martinez, Jesse (companion, Jan) Martinez, Jr., Timmy (Toni) Martinez, and Heather (companion, Jimmy) Howard; 15 great-grandchildren: Anthony Retel, Aisha Trujillo, Brahm Trujillo, Ryan Perdue, Tori Perdue, Stephanie Perdue, Zaysha Sisneros-Lascano, Nina Martinez, Vanessa Martinez, Jocelyn Martinez, Jerick Martinez, Thrisha Mensereau, Cheyenne Dillard, Austin Young, and Ashley Young; two great-great-grandchildren: Kayden Wayne Martinez and Samuel Flater. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, LeRoy Trujillo; a granddaughter, Antoinette Retel; two brothers; a sister; and a dear friend, Eloy Trujillo. Carbon County Funeral Home is assisting the family.
