Burt Willford

Burt Daniel Willford, 56, of Saratoga, Wyoming passed away on November 3, 2014, at Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Saratoga Middle High School Gymnasium. Burt was born in Laramie, WY on June 3, 1958. He graduated from Saratoga High School and continued on to receive a bachelor's degree from The University of Wyoming. Burt was married to Tammy Thrasher on August 8, 1981; they were married 33 years. Burt worked as a Physical Education Teacher for Saratoga Middle High School for 21 years and coached for 33 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, camping, rafting, watching/playing sports and playing board and card games. Burt is survived by his spouse, Tammy Willford of Saratoga; children, Kassie Johnson (Shane) of Laramie and Kegan Willford of Saratoga; grandchildren, Kodi and Tristan Johnson; his mother, Jnell Willford of Piedmont, MO; brothers, Brad Willford (Anne) of Kemmerer, WY and Brian Willford (Christy) of Big Piney, WY; sister, Marcie of Loveland, CO; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joan and Clyde Thrasher of Saratoga; many nieces and nephews; and other family and friends. Burt was preceded in death by his father, Bill Willford; grandparents, Harold and Josephine Willford and Homer and Aileen Whitlock; and his uncle, Bruce Willford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Burt Willford Memorial Scholarship Fund, in care of Rawlins National Bank, P.O. Box 1290, Saratoga, WY 82331.
