Brenda Lavonne Kovachevich

Brenda Lavonne (Ward) Kovachevich was born on March 19, 1967 in Rawlins, Wyoming to Keith and Barbara Ward. She graduated from Rawlins High School in 1985 and attended college at Casper College.

In August 1992 she married the love of her life, Steve. They had two children Josh and Jacob (Kylee). She enjoyed working in the yard and interior decorating, but her pride and joy was spending time south of Rawlins at their cabin in Hidden Valley.

She enjoyed playing host to all of her “bonus kids” family and friends. Brenda loved spending time with her dogs, making sure her roses were always up to perfection, watching her fish jump at the pond, sitting on the deck and feeding the majority of the hummingbirds in the valley, rooting on her favorite teams Wyoming and Dallas Cowboys, and of course baking banana bread and cookie bars for her sons and occasionally her husband.

Her home away from home was Hidden Valley which is where her purple cabin is. The goal for the cabin was to be cowboy brown and gold, the Wyoming weather had different ideas. While purple was her favorite color she was not amused with the way the cabin turned colors.

                She was preceded in death by her Daddy Keith. She is survived by her mother Barbara, brother Kevin (Sue) Ward, sister Rebecca (Tom) Peyton, husband Steve, sons Josh and Jacob, daughter in law Kylee, grandson Kopen, sisters in law Sandra and Susan, and long-time friend, Danny as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

                A memorial service will take place Sunday August 28th, 2022 at 11:00am at the Jeffrey Center with a reception at the Elk’s Lodge to follow. Please join us in wearing Wyoming or Dallas Cowboys colors.
