Bobbie (Bob) Porter

Bobbie (Bob) Leroy Porter, 67, of Saratoga, WY passed away on October 7, 2018. was born on May 15, 1951 to Bobby R. and Betty Lou (Nix) Porter in Riverton, WY. At a young age, Bobbie moved with his family to Tioga, ND as his dad worked in the oilfields. Bobbie attended school in Tioga. He excelled in sports and music. Bobbie graduated from high school in 1969. Bobbie attended Minot State College in Minot, ND for two years where he played football and wrestled. Bobbie transferred to North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND, obtaining an associates degree in Business. Upon graduation, Bobbie moved to Phoenix, AZ to drive truck for four years. Bobbie returned to Tioga, ND where he worked in the oilfields. Bobbie moved to Juneau, AK where he worked in construction. Upon returning from AK, Bobbie continued his work in the oilfields in ND, WY, CA, and CO until retirement. Bobbie was a man of integrity. He truly enjoyed his work in the oilfields. He also loved to hunt and fish. Bobbie was also an avid motorcycle enthusiast, from riding to building bikes. He traveled many miles exploring on his motorcycle. Bobbie is preceded in death by his father, Bobby R. Porter. Bobbie's mother, Betty Lou Porter passed away six days after Bobbie's death. Bobbie is survived by his son, Eric Porter of Gillette, WY; son, Levi (Amanda) Porter of Rawlins, WY; his brother, Dale (Ilona) Porter of Billings, MT., Uncle Fred and Darlene Nix of Casper, WY., and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
