On June 21, 2015, Betty Jane Glenn of Rawlins passed away at the Life Care Center in Casper, Wyoming. She was born on March 18, 1932 in Dale, Arkansas to Chester F. and Esther (Melson) Tabor. The family moved to Hanna, Wyoming in 1946, where she later met and married Ralph A. Glenn on October 17, 1952. They were married for 62 years. In 1953, they moved to Rawlins and called it home ever since. Betty was a stay at home mother who touched the lives of many. She was happiest taking care of her family, cooking, baking, and gardening. She was an avid fan of the Wyoming Cowboys and Cowgirls and attended the games until she was unable to do so, but she always made sure she had the radio on so she could listen to the games. The Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos were also her favorites. She will be remembered for her delicious meals, her beautiful roses and her vegetable garden, especially her tomatoes. She is survived by her husband, Ralph A. Glenn, her four sons, Ralph Eugene of Rawlins, Steve (Mary) of Rawlins, Travis (Amy) of Rawlins and Todd (Tina) of Bismarck, ND, 10 grandchildren , 8 great- grandchildren, three brothers, Leslie D. Tabor of Everett, WA, Wesley E. Tabor (Carole) of Rawlins and Conley F. Tabor (Patti) of Auburn , WA, six sisters, Evelyn Zeiger of Oleatha, CO, Lynda Brown of Sacramento, CA, Sue Cureton, Lois Seldomridge, Catherine Lawrence and Ginny Autio (Kelly Anderson) all of Rawlins, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Myrtle Russell and Bonnie LeBlanc. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church in Rawlins on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Tom Thompson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rawlins Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Betty's name to a favorite charity.
