Bertha Erickson

Bertha M. Erickson passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Kindred Nursing and Rehab Center. She was 88 years old. Born on December 21, 1924 to Thomas and Carrie O'Donnell she was raised with her sister Della, and her brothers Vince and Tom. Bertha lived all of her 88 years in Rawlins. At the age of 11, Bertha met Ray Erickson, and she knew then that she would someday be his wife. The couple married upon his return from WWII on December 28, 1945 in Cheyenne, WY. Four children were born to this union. They were married 65 years before Ray's death in 2011. Bertha enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, and loved babies. She was a kind and gentle lady. Bertha was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, her 3 siblings, and her husband Ray. Surviving Bertha are her children; Cathy Mullette, Chris (Rick Lesmerises) Wells, Rick Erickson, and Judy (Gene) Brown. Grandchildren; Kim Wells, Kerri Mullette, Ray Erickson II, Stephanie Tuttle, and Megan (Andy) Davison; and great grandchildren; Kaitlyn and Kinnick Tuttle, Christopher Erickson, and Carter Davison.
