Arthur "Buck" strong, 70 of Green River, died Monday, October 8, 2012, at his cabin near Rawlins. A resident of Green River since 1989 and Former resident of Rawlins and Rochester, MI, Mr. Strong died suddenly. He was born Jan. 12, 1942, the son of the late Earl Harvey and Alabelle Strong. Mr Strong attended schools in Rochester, MI, graduating from Rochester High School in 1961. He was a United States Army veteran and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad April 19, 2001, where he worked as a manager of mechanical maintenance for 32 years. Mr. Strong married Rebecca Jones in Rochester in 1966. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved blue grouse hunting. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Strong, of Green River; son Klint Strong and daughter-in-law Miranda, of Rawlins; brother Harvey and sister-in-law Susan, of Rawlins; sister Bonnie Gordon of Rochester, MI; grandsons Hayden and Branden Strong; granddaughters Bri Anna Logan and Talli Leatham; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Angela Leatham. Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at 3pm on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at the Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk Street, in Rock Springs. There will also be a service at 2pm on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012 at the Carbon County Funeral Home Chapel, 702 Walnut Street, in Rawlins.
