Alfonso J. Jaramillo died in Rawlins, WY on September 10, 2013. He was born on March 5, 1926 in San Luis, CO. He married Rose Jaure on May 19, 1947 in Rawlins at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He worked for Union Pacific for 42 years, starting out as a laborer and moving up to section foreman by the time of his retirement in 1988. He lived on a ranch south of Rawlins with his wife and 3 children. He loved to raise animals on the ranch; sheep, cows, chickens, ducks, and geese. At one time he even had peacocks and pheasants. He will always be remembered as a great Bronco fan. He tried to never miss the Broncos on TV. He loved Mexican music, especially Al Hurricane. He was a very friendly man and everyone he met called him friend. He loved to fish, hunt, go camping and go gambling. He was a life-long member of the Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Tiburcio Jaramillo; his mother, Miguelita (Chavez) Jaramillo; his wife, Rose Jaramillo; a daughter, Sally Cruz, and two brothers, Donald Jaramillo and Louis Jaramillo. He is survived by his son, Sonny Jaramillo and his wife, Rose; his daughter, JoAnn Cisneros and her husband, Michael; sisters, Lila Marquez, Flora Montoya, Elsie Montoya, and Betty Dean; grandchildren, Chris Cruz and his wife, Aurora, David Jaramillo and his wife, Nicole, Michelle Archuleta and her husband, Sam, Vanessa Cisneros, Kimberly Cisneros Nelson; great grandchildren, Angelina Cruz, Marcus Cruz, Chase Jaramillo, Chris Fernandez, Eli Fernandez, Damian Lopez, Ezra Archuleta, Markus Archuleta, Lena Archuleta, Brayeden Raddetz, Miciah Nelson, Natalee Nelson. In lieu of flowers or gifts, an account has been set up at the Bank of Commerce to help with funeral expenses in the name of Michelle Archuleta.
