Alfonso Bustos, 82, of Rawlins, Wyoming passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 4, 2021.
Alfonso was born on September 13, 1938 in Rawlins, Wyoming to Samuel and Jessie Bustos.
On July 26, 1958 he married the love of his life, Fidencia Cruz. Of that union they had six children.
In 1956 Alfonso started his career with the Wyoming Highway Department as a Highway Engineer Technician until his retirement in 1992.
Alfonso loved the outdoors and he liked to share stories of his hunting, fishing, and camping adventures with his children and grandchildren, who all share his love of the outdoors.
Alfonso is survived by his daughters Linda (Louis) Rivera of Rawlins, Wyoming, Teri (Voytek) Marciniak of Rawlins, Wyoming, Janell (Brian) Oaks of Riverton, Wyoming; sons Thomas Bustos and Robert Bustos of Rawlins, Wyoming and special furbaby Reggie.
He was known as “honey” to his 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Fidencia, son Samuel Bustos, grandson Robert Bustos Jr., parents Samuel and Jessie Bustos, and sister Angela Montoya.
Services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with a Rosary on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at 7:00 PM and a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM . Inurnment will follow at Rawlins Cemetery.
